Swarmers will be drawn to a turret but they can't attack it, making it a useful "bug zapper" especially with the Shock or Flamethrower evolutions.Banshees largely ignore it, but their ranged projectiles can acquire it as a target once fired, and a Sentry attacking a Banshee at close range can trigger it to use its scream attack. The following enemies totally ignore the Sentry Turret: Husks, Abominations, Brutes, Scions, Praetorians, Seeker Swarms, Ravagers, Atlases, Dragoons, Adjutants, Disruption Drones, and the final boss of the Mass Effect 3: Citadel missions.Simply the act of throwing out the turret to deploy it can induce nearby infantry enemies to perform a dodge maneuver. The Sentry will fail to deploy on many types of surfaces or if too close to terrain.Sentry Turret, once deployed, will not move.Sentry Turret is deployed like a grenade, unlike the Combat Drone which simply appears on top of whatever enemy you are targeting.Upgrade turret with a close-range flamethrower that deals 84.50 points of damage per second. Upgrade turret with long-range rockets that deal 150 (390 multiplayer) points of damage across a 1.50 (2.50 multiplayer) meter radius. Upgrade turret with armor-piercing ammo, giving it a 100% damage bonus against armor. Upgrade turret with cryo ammo, giving it a chance to freeze enemies for 3 seconds. Upgrade turret with shock attack to stun enemies. Power Ranks Rank 1: Sentry Turret ĭeploy this heavy-weapon turret for cover fire. Didn't even notice it as it helped me melt its damned plating.Sentry Turret is a tech power in Mass Effect 3's single-player and multiplayer modes. What I am saying is, is the sentry turret a good power to invest into or are the points better off into other things?Įdit: I just had an Atlas mech terminator walked toward me and I chucked my flamethrower sentry at. It has a couple of powerups that are good in theory but for me in application it just always falls short. I'd throw it out onto the field, it'd shoot a couple times at whatever grunt was nearest to it before it would pop in one shot. I always play on Insanity difficulty so this may have a hand on my thoughts about it, but I always felt like it was more of a gimmick power than an actual defensive one. But I was always unsure about the newest defensive ability in ME3. Loved the amount of utilities that it brings unlike most other classes. Hey guys, I've always played as Engineer since the start of the series.
